F is for…Fruitloops (#AtoZ)

Here is my latest post for the #AtoZChallenge for April 2022. My title and theme for this challenge is “Seriously Silly Poetry” in recognition of April being poetry month and also wanting to do something fun and playful to celebrate spring. I hope you enjoy this series.

Another one pulled from the archives…”Fruitloops” was originally published in Thirteen Words Volume II, which is a collection of illustrated thirteen word poems (yes, yes, also available from Amazon 😏).

Be well,

Monty

  1. That’s really cute, Monty. My daughters used to love Frootloops and Corn Pops when they were little.

Thanks Michelle. I was only allowed Cheerios (or granola) at home, but when I visited my grandma she always had fruit loops for me and honeycombs for my brother. Knowing I wasn’t supposed to have such sweets made it even sweeter!

      1. Ha ha. We were the same with pop. We never had pop in our house. My aunt, who lived up the road from us, always gave us pop when we went to visit. It was like the forbidden fruit.

Oh my! This does bring back memories! I didn’t measure happiness with fruit loops – Quisp and Quake were the favorites at our house….

  4. Agree! Here at home we have a saying: the stolen frootlops taste better. Yes, we steal one or two frootloops from each other´s cereal bowl just for fun. 😀
