Shine On

Shine on, shine on, shine on me
Shine your light on me
Light me up, cast away my doubts
Lift me out of these shadows
I’m ready, I’m ready, please shine your light on me.

Be well,

Monty

Ah! This poem is exactly the conundrum – we want the attention, we beg for it and then when we get it we become shy!

Haha. I wasn’t thinking of it that way but I see what you mean!

The first line reminds me of a Christian worship song I used to sing at church haha

When I wrote it I felt I might be copying from something I heard or saw in a movie or something.
