National Poetry Month is back! I’ll be selectively participating in a number of poetry prompts this month. Here is my entry for the ‘America’ prompt from @murisopis’ Poetry from Around the World Scavenger Hunt. This is a great poetry challenge so I encourage you to participate!
America: The Lune – An American form of Haiku created by Robert Kelly. A syllabic form consisting of 3 lines with a strict syllable count of 5/3/5. There is no rhyme and the subject matter is not restricted. I’d like to suggest a topic of nationalism (just a suggestion)
Never Forgotten
A people still proud
Stolen lands
Never forgotten
Be well,
Monty

This land is your land
And mine too
Happy day to you.
