There is a Puddle in the Living Room

There is a puddle in the living room;
Evidence of a rainstorm that I slept well through;
Must have been quite the lullaby.

I wonder if I could jump in and go for a swim?
Backstroke across the tiled floor,
From the puddles edge to the culprit window.

Perhaps I could freestyle all the way upstream?
To the bloated clouds above and the sun shining on their backs;
Oh, wouldn’t that be special?

But why not put on wings and take to the thin aired sky?
Soar over the horizon eastward into the rising sun;
Let’s see what’s on the other side.

There is a puddle in the living room;
That’s all it takes;
Oh, what wonderful adventures a mind can bring!

Be well,

Monty

    Yikes! I hope there wasn’t any damage to the floor!! But you sound just like my son who has ADD… He will see a dust mote and then he’s off into “what if” land…

      Haha! No serious damage as the floor is tile.
